Welcome to the Koerdische Volks Stichting
The Koerdische Volks Stichting is a social and cultural organization based in Rotterdam. For many years, we have been committed to strengthening the Kurdish community, preserving our cultural heritage, and promoting active participation in Dutch society.
Our foundation was established to create a place where people can meet, support one another, and grow together. Through cultural, educational, and social activities, we bring people together and contribute to a strong, engaged, and inclusive community.
Our Mission
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate actively in society. Therefore, we work to promote social inclusion, personal development, cultural exchange, and equal opportunities for all.
Our mission is to build bridges between the Kurdish community and Dutch society. We encourage integration, participation, and mutual understanding while respecting cultural diversity and individual identity.
What We Do
Our activities include:
- Kurdish language courses
- Saz and music lessons
- Kurdish folk dance groups
- Cultural and educational events
- Youth activities
- Information and awareness sessions
- Guidance and support for newcomers and asylum seekers
- Activities that promote integration and social participation
Our Community
We serve the Kurdish community in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, and Schiedam, reaching thousands of people throughout the Rijnmond region.
For many people, our foundation is a trusted meeting place where they can find support, advice, cultural activities, and social connections.
Cooperation and Connection
We believe that strong communities are built through cooperation and mutual respect. Therefore, we welcome collaboration with municipalities, schools, social organizations, community centers, and other partners.
